Paul has designed two online courses for the NCTJ's e-learning platform: one on public affairs and the other on polling for journalists.

Media law advice
Paul is a university lecturer in media law and court reporting. He also offers media law guidance and support to local publications on an ad hoc basis.
Public interest news and investigative journalism
As well as law, Paul also specialises in investigative journalism.
He was recognised on a list of outstanding tutors and trainers for inspiring the next generation of public interest journalists. Read here

Course design and awards
While programme leader at the respected journalism training centre, Highbury College, Paul designed a level 3 Junior Journalist Apprenticeship, enabling scores of young writers to make it in journalism.

Paul's training was also recognised after his 20-week NCTJ course was named NCTJ fast-track course of the year
Paul recently designed a new MA Journalism course and Degree Apprenticeship programme at the University of Portsmouth which will go live in 2022.
